Gadgets, Doodads & Gizmo’s #9: How To Upgrade Your Car (Without Buying A New One)

Gadgets, Doodads & Gizmo’s #9: How To Upgrade Your Car (Without Buying A New One)

This week we will look at devices for automobiles. Since most of us cannot afford the newest cars laced with the newest technologies, while we’re used to settle for second best… but not anymore. New technology has made it possible to truly “upgrade” your current car without breaking the bank:

Livio Internet Radio: Nowadays a car with radio, even Internet radio as its only media options is rather sub-par. Livio Internet Radio allows you to connect to your iPhone or iPod and play not only what is on your device but also from other music apps like Spotify. It connects via Bluetooth and also has additional features such as the ability to initiate a call wirelessly remote dialing and the ability to charge your device via a custom charger port. A great buy for the music enthusiast.

Audiovox Carlink: Remote keyless entry is a very desirable aspect of new cars these days. Despite the more aesthetic uses of this technology, Carlink can really help you out when you are in a pinch. In times where you have snow piled up on (and over) your car, or on those days when it is freezing, you can start your car without having to go outside can save time and increase comfort. Carlink can also connect to your smartphone, serving as a great backup in case you lose your keys.

OnStar FMV: With the notoriety that OnStar is well known for, GM has expanded to reach those demographics in which they weren’t available for before. Instead of having to purchase a car that came with the OnStar service natively,  you can simply replace your rear view mirror and be set up with this amazing service that keeps you and your family protected while you drive.
