Gadgets, Doodads & Gizmos #6

Another installment of GDG, where we present to you technology out there which can be used to make life a little easier and more productive.

Wifi Mouse: Finally, a mouse that is truly wireless. Targus will be releasing a mouse that works via Wifi PAN (Wifi Personal Area Network). This should not be confused with Bluetooth technology. It will connect with your computer via your computers Wifi receiver, so no syncing, searching, or linking. It will just work. Awesomeness!!

Google Voice Actions: Google is at it again, and I must say I am, and continue to be impressed with their diligence to make life easy (and to urge me to be dependent on them in the process). In devices ranging from the desktop computer to mobile phones using their Android platform, instead of being burdened by pushing several buttons, you can now merely speak and the rest is done for you. You can send a text with the push of one button, you can also get directions, send an email, etc…. While I will admit to its practicality, I am still wary of long-term exposure to these voice actions: how lazy can we really get?
